Cookie policy

1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Apocalypse Technologies (“we”, “us”) owns and operates actrone.com. We use cookies and similar technologies (local storage, session storage) to keep the site working correctly and to understand how it is used.
2. Essential cookies
These are strictly necessary to run the site and remember choices you make on it. They are set without asking and cannot be disabled. None of them identifies you. On actrone.com they store: your cookie consent choice; display preferences such as the colour theme, the code language shown in the docs, and the docs panel width; whether you have already dismissed an introduction or banner; and a short-lived copy of the project’s GitHub star count. Signed-in services, where available, also use a session token cookie (HTTP-only, Secure, SameSite=Strict) and a CSRF protection token.
3. Analytics cookies (optional)
With your consent, we use PostHog, a product analytics service hosted in the United States, to understand which pages are visited and how the site is used. PostHog stores a random identifier in a cookie and in local storage so it can recognise a returning browser. It records page views and page performance, and may record session replays in which every form input is masked. Analytics data is not linked to an account or to your name. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
4. Your choices
When you first visit the site, a cookie banner gives you the option to accept or decline optional analytics cookies. You can change your preference at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings. Declining analytics cookies does not affect your ability to use the Service.
5. Third-party cookies
We do not permit third-party advertising networks or social media platforms to set cookies on actrone.com. Embedded videos load from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain (youtube-nocookie.com), and only after you choose to play one. Any other third-party scripts used (for example payment processors) are loaded in isolated contexts and subject to their own cookie policies.
6. Contact
For questions about our use of cookies, contact legal@actrone.com.
